We will also help you to learn and develop new skills or tools to better understand and communicate with one another.
Through family therapy, our clinicians will help your family identify and understand your communication patterns and learn new ways to respond to one another. During therapy, your therapist will facilitate conversations and conduct interventions to improve connections between you and your loved ones. Family therapy can include the entire family or different combinations of family members depending upon your needs. Our therapists will work with your family as a unit to minimize conflict, allow each family member to feel like they are heard, and to increase the positive interactions in your family.
Through parent-child psychotherapy, our clinicians will help a parent and child improve their bond and connect with one another in a safe and nurturing environment. In therapy, our therapists will work with you to understand your child’s emotional, social, cognitive, and physical stage of development to create effective parenting strategies. We will help you and your child collaborate as a team to set house rules, improve behavior, and minimize conflict. In addition, our clinicians can help you and your child develop better communication skills. We specialize in working with children who have psychiatric diagnoses, have been adopted, or have estranged relationships. We also treat many families who are coping with changes in their family structure or dynamics. Using a family systems approach, dyadic parent-child therapy, or the evidenced based Parent-Child Interaction Therapy, we will help you and your child create a healthy parent-child relationship.
Through our family therapy and parent-child psychotherapy services, we will help you improve your relationships within your family so that each family member can live a content and fulfilling life. We will help facilitate better understanding of each family member’s unique strengths and role within the family.
