Compass Psychological Services, LLC, includes doctoral level clinicians currently working towards completing requirements to become a licensed psychologist in the state of New Jersey. Many of our postdoctoral fellows are already certified school psychologist who work independently in the school setting. Postdoctoral fellows work under a temporary permit and are closely supervised by one of our seasoned licensed psychologists. Our postdoctoral fellows have prestigious backgrounds and have been highly trained throughout graduate school. They provide excellent treatment services and exhibit strong professional skills. We believe there are many clinical advantages to working with postdoctoral fellows, some of which are listed below:
- Our postdoctoral fellows receive consistent weekly supervision and collaborate with other clinicians. As a result, patients under their care have the advantage of receiving input from multiple clinicians. This allows you or your child to benefit from the knowledge and experience than just one mental health professional has to offer.
- Postdoctoral fellows are available at a more affordable fee than other clinicians since they are not yet fully licensed. This allows patients who cannot afford to pay out of pocket or who have a high deductible a chance to receive evidence-based treatment at our practice.
